At The Very Beginning…
What we need to know?

PRIMA Vision

“To build R&I capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems, to make them sustainable, and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean area, to make those systems and that provision and management more climate resilient, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally and socially sustainable, and to contribute to solving water scarcity, food security, nutrition, health, well-being and migration problems upstream”

What’s GENDIBAR

Climate change in the Mediterranean environments is projected to rise day and night average temperatures, reduce rainfall and increase the risk of heat waves. This is expected to have a profound impact on Mediterranean agriculture and plant productivity, particularly cereal crops, which are strategically and economically important in this region. Therefore, GENDIBAR intends to provide new knowledge and fill the research gaps for adapting barley farming to the future environments to secure the production of cereal foods across Mediterranean countries.
